Terms and Conditions

HousingAI is provided by HousingAI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16485901), registered office Charnwood Accountants, The Point, Granite Way, Mountsorrel, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE12 7TZ.

Who this is for

HousingAI is a business-to-business service for social housing providers and their staff. It is not offered to consumers, and accounts are created by administrators - there is no public sign-up.

Use of the service is governed by the HousingAI End User Licence Agreement (the EULA), which customers accept when subscribing. This page summarises the terms most people want to find quickly. Where this page and the EULA differ, the EULA governs.

Your access

Your organisation subscribes to the service, and named users within it are given accounts. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Access continues for your subscribed service period and renews automatically unless either side gives notice, as set out in the EULA.

Your data

You keep ownership of the policies and documents you upload. We store and index them so we can provide the service to you, and they are visible only within your own organisation.

No customer data - including queries, uploaded documents, or organisational information - is used to train or fine-tune the underlying AI models.

Personal information submitted in queries is subject to automated filtering and may be blocked or redacted in line with the platform's data protection configuration. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

What the service is, and is not

The service is provided as a decision-support and information tool only. It does not constitute legal advice, professional consultancy, or a substitute for independent professional judgement on matters of regulatory compliance.

Responses are generated by artificial intelligence. The service is designed to maximise accuracy by retrieving from authoritative sources and citing them, but you should check anything material against the cited source, and take professional advice where a situation warrants it.

Legislation, regulation and guidance change. We work to keep the knowledge base current but do not warrant that it reflects the law at any given moment.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service unlawfully, attempt to access other organisations' data or the systems the service runs on, reverse engineer it, use it to build a competing product, or resell it without our written agreement.

Liability

Liability is limited as set out in clause 17 of the EULA. Nothing in these terms or the EULA excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Given the section above, we are not liable for decisions taken in reliance on an answer produced by the service.

The full agreement

These are highlights. The complete terms - including definitions, warranties, indemnities, data protection, confidentiality, suspension and termination - are in the EULA, which is the binding agreement between us. Ask support@housingai.uk for a copy, or see the agreement you accepted when subscribing.

Governing law

England and Wales, with the courts of England and Wales having jurisdiction, as set out in clauses 32 and 33 of the EULA.
